Sorted into folders you can predict
MacMonitor groups files by type into folders such as Documents, Images, Videos, Audio, Archives and Installers. The plan lists every file with where it will go, so there are no surprises.

See the full plan, file by file, and untick anything you would rather keep where it is.
Collisions handled
If a file with the same name is already there, the moved file gets a numbered name. Nothing is ever overwritten.
Moved, not copied
Files are moved into the new folders, so you do not end up with two copies taking up space.
Undo the last run
Changed your mind? Undo the last organization during the session.
Optional smart suggestions
For PDFs, text files and images you can turn on on-device suggestions that propose a better folder than the file type alone. They are off until you enable them. They run on your Mac using Apple's own models, read only short excerpts and image thumbnails, and nothing is uploaded. Suggestions never move files automatically; anything uncertain or unsupported stays in its file-type folder.
Duplicates too
The same review screen surfaces exact duplicate files in the folder, so you can see how much space they take. Exact means identical contents, and one copy is always kept.
What it does not do
- It does not run in the background or on a schedule. It acts only when you approve a plan.
- It does not read file contents unless you switch on the optional suggestions, and then only in the folder you chose.
